Back to the Daily Grind
It has been a few days since getting back from Coachella, and I am just now having the time to post a little update. For the most part I am really glad I made the split decision to go. The overall experience was amazing. I wrote a pretty lengthy review of the performances over at TheDopeFiend, but to be a bit more candid here are some things I did/didn’t like overall about the festival itself.
Likes:
- The Line-up was concise and the shows were perfect in length.
- The lines were short, I had expected to be waiting in 1-2 hour lines. They were less than 20-30 min. most the time.
- The lack of baditude. For the most part everyone was chill, I didn’t see a single fight.
- The security. They did their job without being overly in-your-face. They were there to help and keep people safe.
Dislikes:
- Hippies, hippies and more hippies.
- The vibe at the larger DJ events was lacking. Yes people, please, bang your head when Justice is doing their thing.
- Cost of food and beverages. I am paying $250+ to attend your event, and you are going to charge me $7 for a 12oz. beer. Really?
- The fact that because it’s a festival people feel the need to dress like they just came from the new Alice in Wonderland - Disney On Ice auditions.
